Dear Bridge Families,

It’s hard to believe we only have four weeks left of school!  Your children continue to impress us with their capacity for learning and enthusiasm!

Please read the following carefully:

MIDDLE SCHOOL TESTING THIS WEEK

The middle school will be administering the Northwest Education Association Measure of Academic Progress (NWEA MAP) test in Reading in English classes this Tuesday, May 25, and Thursday, May 27.  Those days will be a normal schedule with students just testing during English class.

  • Remote students must come to school to take the test in-person on Wednesday, May 26:
    • Buses will be running or students can get a ride to school
    • Students will need to be in school by 7:45 and the test will end by 11:30
  • A special breakfast will be offered to all students on testing days

STUDENTS MUST BRING THEIR SILVER BRIDGE

CHROMEBOOKS, CHARGED, TO SCHOOL ON TESTING DAYS!

IMPORTANT: If students score better on the spring MAP test than they did in the fall or winter, and/or if they score in the 50th percentile or above, they will receive a 100% Final Exam grade:  100 in math for earning these scores on the Math test, 100 in ALL other classes for earning these scores on the Reading test

  • The final exam grade is 10% of students’ year average and could boost their year-end grade SIGNIFICANTLY!!
  • For some students, doing well on MAP could make the difference between passing and failing for the year

HIGH SCHOOL MATH TESTING: WEDNESDAY, MAY 26

This Wednesday all high school students must log into their first period class at 7:45 to take the NWEA MAP Math test.

  • For some students, doing well on MAP could make the difference between passing and failing for the year.

Students have learned a lot of math this year and should apply all of that knowledge to the test so that they can achieve at a high level!

9TH AND 10TH GRADE SPACES AVAILABLE

We have a few spaces available for next year’s 9th and 10th grade classes.

If you know of any current 8th or 9th graders looking for a good school for next year, have them apply on our website: bridgeacademy.org.

NEXT YEAR

If your student will not be returning to Bridge next year for any reason, you must come to school to fill out a simple withdrawal form; this will allow us to send records to their next school.
