Hello Bridge Families!
I hope you are having a nice week.
Please read the following to ensure that you know what is going on at school:
INDEPENDENT WORK DAYS
On the days your child is not in school they have work to complete in all of their Google Classes. Please make sure that they get up early and complete all of their independent work each day that they are not in school.
WEDNESDAY SEPTEMBER 30 AND OCTOBER 7
For the next two Wednesdays your child will be taking an assessment called the NWEA MAP test. They will take this test online.
Next Wednesday, September 30, they will take the Reading test and on Wednesday, October 7, they will take the Math test.
Students MUST log into their Bridge Academy chromebooks at 8:00 AM on these days.
Here is a video explaining what the NWEA MAP test is (FYI: we are only giving the Reading and Math tests, not the Science or Language tests):

Here is a video showing exactly what kids need to do on the day of the test:
COMPUTER CAMERAS
Students are required to have their cameras on when they are in class through Google Meets. We need to be able to interact with the students at home and to ensure that they are present and engaged; this is not possible when their cameras are off.
If your child is joining classes through Google Meets, let them know that they must turn their computer cameras on for all of their classes.
IMMUNIZATIONS
All school children entering grades 7, 9 and 10, must have an up-to-date physical examination and immunizations. If you have not already submitted proof of your child’s physical and immunizations, please do so soon. Call Bridge to talk to our nurses if you have any questions.
MEALS
All in-person students are encouraged to take meals at the end of the day; this is the food your children would normally receive if they were in school every day. Remind your child to take this food every day they are in school; if they do not want to eat it they are welcome to give it to a family member or even someone in the neighborhood who needs food.
We also encourage full-online families to come get the food your children would normally be served in school.
If your child is learning online full-time, please complete this survey so we know when to have your food ready:

MONDAY NO SCHOOL
There is no school this Monday, September 28, for Yom Kippur. Monday/Thursday students will be back in school next Thursday, October 1.
