Hello Bridge Families!
At some point soon we will have a day that is both beautiful, like today, and ALSO warm; I think we’re all really looking forward to that!
Please read the following news and updates:

This clinic is being held at Bridge in conjunction with the Department of Health; vaccinations will be available for everyone 12 years of age and older.
All vaccinations are FREE!!
If you are still thinking about and researching the idea of vaccination, here are two videos that may help you make your decision:
Please take 30 seconds to fill out this survey so we know if you or any of your loved ones are interested in participating in the clinic:
SUMMER SCHOOL AND NEXT YEAR ARE IN PERSON ONLY
Both summer school and regular school next year will be in-person only. Remote learning will not be an option this summer or in the 2021-2022 school year.
We will also resume our full-day and full-week schedule next school year; this means that school will end at 2:15 and Wednesdays will no longer be remote.
We are extremely excited about having all of our students back in the building again full-time starting in the fall!
8TH GRADE PROMOTION AND HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATION
We are investigating ways to have an outdoor, in-person promotion and graduation ceremonies. Right now these ceremonies are tentatively scheduled for the evening of Wednesday, June 16.
We will keep you posted as our plans evolve.
We are creating an 8th grade slideshow. Each 8th grader will have a page devoted just to them. 8th graders; please send Mr. Krauss any pictures or art work that you would like on your page.
Send pictures to firstname.lastname@example.org
MIDDLE SCHOOL TESTING
The middle school will be administering the state Smarter Balanced test in Reading in person on Tuesday, May 11, and Thursday, May 13. Students will have a different schedule on those days.
Remote students will need to come to school to take the test in-person on Wednesday, May 12. Buses will be running or students can get a ride to school. Students will need to be in school by 7:45 and the test will end by 11:30
11TH GRADE SCIENCE TESTING
All 11th grade students will need to come to school on Wednesday, May 12, to take the Next Generation Science Test.
Students can take the city bus or get a ride to school. They should arrive at school at 7:45 and my leave when they have completed the test.
FREE USE OF WASHER/DRYER
We have just installed a washer and dryer in school for free use by families; detergent is included!
If you find doing laundry inconvenient and expensive, you have two options for doing laundry here at Bridge:
- Your student can bring a load of laundry with them to school and they or we can wash and dry it while they are in class.
- A parent can reach out to me or Mr. Elliott to let us know when you would like to come in after school or on the weekend and we will reserve the washer and dryer for your use.
FREE AND DISCOUNTED HAIRCUTS AND STYLING
Please talk to your children about internet and social media safety and boundaries.
For example, students should never send photos of themselves unclothed to anyone, not even friends. If they receive photos of people without clothes on or in compromising positions they should tell an adult and then delete the photos or videos immediately; they must NEVER share such photos with others.
Police officers will be coming to Bridge in the coming weeks to reinforce internet and social media safety with our students in a continuing effort to keep them safe.
TALK SHOW REMINDER!
