CASEL: The Bridge Academy’s SEL Initiative is supported by the Collaborative for Academic, Social and Emotional Learning (CASEL). This initiative supports us in our efforts to create a school-wide model for SEL standards and skills based on the five competencies of self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision-making.
Mindfulness Meditation: The Bridge Academy incorporates mindfulness into each day. Through collaboration with Mindful Schools and Learning to Breathe students and teachers use mindfulness meditation to reduce levels of stress and anxiety, increase focus and self-regulation, and improve performance and sleep.
